0 Reps were completed at Viking

On a cold day at Viking, 9 PAX joined YHC for what was probably assumed to be an easy workout.  The Preblast promised 0 reps, and 0 reps we did.  Here is roughly how it went down:

0528:  BoarHog throws down the first question about YHC's watch.

0530:  The fun begins, exactly on time.

WARM-O-RAMA:

  • Dynamic warm-up which included high knees, butt kickers, and Quadraphilia as we made our way down the hill towards the parks
  • Circle up and disclaimer given
  • Hold “Al Gore” for 1 minute
  • Plank walk around this triangular (ish) shaped area of grass

The “0 reps” Thing:

This was a humble attempt to Q a workout with 0 reps.  Yes, no counting!  Everyone grabbed a decent sized rock and a similar sized partner.

Everyone:

  • Hold rock overhead x 1 minute
  • Hold rock in flexed curl position x 1 minute
  • Hold rock in deep squat position x 1 minute
  • Elbow plank x 1 minute
  • Sprints x 2 minutes to get heart rate up

With your partner:

  • Partner carry down hill and back up
  • Flip flop

Everyone:

  • Hold rock overhead x 1 minute
  • Hold rock out in front of you x 1 minute more like 15 seconds!
  • Hold rock in flexed skull crusher position x 1 minute
  • Elbow plank x 1 minute
  • Put rocks back

Mosey to the soccer fields.

  • Lunge walk across
  • Bear crawl back across the field

Mosey to the basketball courts.

With your partner:

  • Partner A: 1 suicide on court
  • Partner B: Elbow plank
  • Flip flop then repeato but with Al Gore / crabwalk.
  • Partner wheel barrow carry across the basketball court.
  • Flip flop

Mosey back to start-ex, backwards.

Mary:

  • Some sprints thrown in
  • Elbow plank, front leaning rest (aka "high plank" to Denver folks), elbow plank x ~45 seconds each
  • Al Gore for a minute

Recover, recover.  According to Strava, we covered 1.7 miles.

Moleskin:

  1. See the Pre-blast page for links to: A. March 23 Q School. B. March 23 Shag Dancing Date night. C. March 30 Operation Sweet Tooth 8k run / 2 mile walk.  Among other awesome events.
  2. Jersey Boy would like to remind everyone who does NOT need Q School to post at BRP this Saturday!  Also, check this challenge out:  http://f3lakenorman.com/backblast/find-the-70s-song-lyrics-in-this-backblast-and-earn-100-for-operation-sweet-tooth
  3. Partnered with Stapler today, cool dude and always a pleasure catching up.  Thanks for the encouragement and push bud.
  4. Glad to see MoopDog and Kumquat visiting from far away!  Actually it's about 12 minutes, but apparently they're both closer to something called "MECA" now.
  5. Always awesome to see BoarHog and his K9 buddy.  His dog was itching to go.  BoarHog made him even more excited by pretending to see a squirrel, and later admitted that was a "d*** move", lol.  BoarHog bear crawled longer and farther than anyone today…
  6. …but not faster than Kosar.  One has to remember to give him ~2 minutes of something else to do whenever a long bear crawl is involved.  Nice work on the Sprints as well.  When he tries, he wins the Sprints.  When he doesn't try, YHC calls him out like the jerk I am. *shrug*
  7. Jimmy O reminds everyone to check out Mayhem at Mad Sci tomorrow.  Also said it was a first to run backwards all the way up the hill at Viking.  Really?  YHC assumed that was a weekly thing.
  8. Cousin Eddie, posting monster.  Still leading the Huntersville PAX by quite a bit.  See you Saturday bud?
  9. Fescue, thank you for the opportunity to lead.  Good to see you twice in ~2 weeks.  PAX, if you are reading this, there were multiple MQs present today.  Please help out with a Q if you can.

Enjoyed it gents.  Turnpike.
