10 for Adult Recess at Bailey Road Park

10 PAX got stronger with a boot-camp style Adult Recess at Bailey Road Park.  With Moses riding shotgun, YHC pulled into the BRP parking lot right around 6:45am and was super happy to see his 2.0’s Ford Explorer already in the lot. A few gentle EH’s over the past few weeks proved effective as Michael would make BRP his first post.  Admittedly, YHC was extra stoked as the countdown to 7am began.  A quick plant of the original F3 Isotope Shovel Flag was in order for this beautiful chilly morning as the PAX gathered in the dark parking lot.  After a friendly meet and greet and exchange of kind gestures, YHC gave a brief disclaimer, including the urge to keep the mumblechatter wholesome-reverse psychology works every time as we would find out immediately.

Moses called Bullsh**t on something as soon as we began our mosey to Broadway, the outdoor ampitheatre which was affectionately named in late 2011.  YHC began warm-a-rama with a 1/2 Soprano dosage of SSH’s (50 IC) but the PAX still complained. PAX performed 10 burpees IC as a penalty for unwholesome talk.  A few more standard warm-up exercises were performed before our short mosey over to the picnic shelter where  3 rounds of dips, incline merkins, and alternate leg step-ups were performed.  An inspiring “run by” was appreciated by YHC as Swing State, Little Finger, Airwolf, and Caesar were passing by and dropped in for a quick pep talk at the picnic shelter.  Tclaps for that fellas!

The PAX traveled their way over to the track for a Commander run lap, followed by 100 yard sprints on the football field with WWII’s and Air Squats mixed in at each end zone.  PAX would then mosey over to Bailey Road Middle school, going up and down the stairs and perform calf raises and stretches on the way over.  Peoples Chair was performed against the school wall with air presses added.  PAX would then mosey and weave around the poles adjacent to the school parking lot and ended with a round of curb merkins and Rocky Balboas.

PAX would then mosey back to the track and made a half lap and ended at the rock pile, where rock curls, shoulder presses and bent over rows were performed.  A stop at Wolfpack park was also in order as PAX performed pull ups, and air squats.

PAX would also take K2, the long trail heading down and away from Wolfpack park and end in the grassy area at the bottom for a quick round of low flutters and LBC’s. YHC called the PAX to do an 80% exertion sprint up K2 and end again at Wolfpack park.

A few mobility moments were also mixed in throughout the morning and the PAX ended with a few rounds of MARY.
