12 for the Westside Bonesaw

12 for the Westside Bonesaw

FNG-1 is Sharp (he’s not on the website)

It was a comfortable morning and despite a preblast that warned of hill repeats on the Westside Bonesaw and lack of retweeting or views on the preblast, 12 men posted.

We did a lap around the track, then some SSH, toy soldier, long snapper, slow windmill to warmup.

We went off campus and down to the bottom of Bud Henderson to begin.  Due to the surprisingly large number of Pax, we avoided the traditional Westside Bonesaw (through the neighborhood) to keep the neighbors happy, and we went up to the top of the hill at the Community School of Davidson’s athletic complex (yes, it’s in Huntersville).

The turn at the hill into CSD is deceiving because you think that you’re almost there, but when you make that turn, it keeps going up.  Despite this and despite several men claiming they either aren’t runners or hate hill repeats, all men pushed through and completed all four rounds.

We went back to launch for a mobility moment.  Recover recover.

Moleskin:

I have now mentioned issues with my smoke alarms numerous times to 9-Lives and now to Talking Heads, but no one has offered to come fix them for me… maybe I’m not doing it right.

It’s been motivating to hear about all the guys signed up for races, like Talking Heads, 9-Lives, Chilly Willy, Beave, Tantrum, Crocs and while I didn’t hear about it today, I’m assuming Stray, The Force, and BEP are also always signed up for some kind of race, so I signed up for the Huntersville Half.  I hope to see all of F3 Isotope out there.

It’s also been great getting to know Sharp who started last week – he said he’s not a runner, but he wants to work on his running, so he pushed hard to finish.  Tantrum will be talking him into running a relay in no time.  It was great to see Chilly Willy helping motivate Sharp to the finish.

I will see you all tomorrow for a block-heavy workout at Samson!
