125 Burpees for Breakfast


Only missing about 20 guys from the pax list – late getting out the backblast and out of practice after two months off Q duties!  Chime in below if you want credit – we had 30 total! 

We started with the standard Moses-inspired burpee warm-up at the Green – between each exercise ascending burpees 1-8.  Then we went to the Admissions Office for some laps/burpees/merkins – 5 times around with 5 burpees/10 pushups/15 squats every time around.  Next we ran over to DUMC for pavers including some new paver burpee variations and the old stand-by exercises too.  Partnered up for burpees with one paver on ground as a base and the other paver as weight – crowd pleaser!  Finally we went to the IB School for some shuttle runs back and forth with 3-4 sets of 10 pullups and 3-4 sets of 10 merkins at one end and sets of 10 burpees at the other.  We mixed in a little Mary along the way and finished with 5 burpees to get to a nice number – 125 for the day!

Coming back to Q after a long time off it seemed like a good idea to stick to the basics: merkins, burpees, squats, pullups and pavers – plus some running and a little Mary.  Judging by Duvall and Mindfreak's complaining and Chim Chim's level of sweat produced, it was a moderate success. 

I really have missed the group so it was great to be back.  While I won't post every day  – need to limit my running and impact still – I am hopeful to see you guys a few times a week.
