Qing at an AO you've yet to post at is always a risk… today it was in more ways than one. But despite the PB stating YHC would post and Q for the first time at Fission, 10 other pax still bounced from the fartsack and decided on Fission. Frontier was another first timer and ended up springing for the coffee for everyone after. Thanks, Frontier!
YHC scouted out the AO a couple days prior (excuse to get Pita Pit), came up with ideas, then attempted to implement them today. Here's kinda how it went…
Warm-o-rama (the usual kinda stuff)
The Thang:
Mosey around the back of HT toward the condos – there are walls over there. Tall wall apeared from YHC's slightly lifted SUV like we could climb it. Not a great idea. Didn't work. Moved on.
Short wall: Better! 10 over and backs OYO.
Mosey to behind HT for street-light-suicides. Sprint to the first light, 10 merkins, sprint back. 2nd light, 15 merkins, back. 3rd light, 20 merkins, stay there.
Mosey up to the street beside the tracks.
The creation of "The Connor McGregor": Rocky Balboas x 10, choppin' and up-downs, Dying cockroaches x 10. Now put them all together in a 3 count in cadence. Boom, YHC gives you The Connor McGregor.
Mosey in the direction of DD, but stop at the lower wall for a combination of People's Chair exercises, incline merkins, decline merkins on the wall, and curb-merkins.
Mosey round the corner to Dunkin Donuts where the YHC SUV is conveniently parked. Back opens up and here we have 5 kettle bells, a yoga block and then YHC whipped it out. First time some of the pax have seen it… YHC's big, long, thick, black… rope.
Circled up for a lasting combination of kettle bells, merkins, planks and rotations. Oh, and some bear crawls.
Then a Dunkin Donut Al Gore Time Bomb (abbreviated version).
And finally, MWAR (Mary With A Rope)
The virgin moleskine:
Saw Moses and Waffle House (I believe it was WH) get up that wall. Well done fellas. Others tried to no avail.
Some of today's workout was audibled. Pax doesn't know what. That's a flawless plan.
Moses seems suddenly offended by the tall jokes. Maybe the thin air up there is making life more difficult.
I'm told by those tracking that we ended right at 1.0 mile run. That is because we ended at DD where YHC was parked and the pax had to mosey back to where they parked, then drive over to DD. You're welcome.
As YHC types this up, I realize we packed a lot into that 45 mins. Well done, men.
Thanks for having me and Frontier. Good AO, great group, excellent weather! Strong coffeteria showing.
