Waiting in the empty, rainy parking lot, wondering whether or not anyone is going to post, gives a guy a minute to ponder. Will I workout alone if no one shows up? Yes. Will I just run, or should I make it a boot camp? It matters not- you posted. Will I get credit for the Q? Yes, dummy, you’ll give yourself credit. But will anyone even read the back blast? As you can see, the answer is yes.
Luckily, at 05:29:45 Hasslehoff rolled in and asked what the plan was. He didn’t want to leave me hanging, now all of that quick pondering was suddenly irrelevant.
We moseyed to grab blocks and lugged them to be under cover. It was a boot-camp workout with a couple of go-ahead-and-get-a-little-wet moseys. We did some of them there ‘Mericans, squats, curls (low, high and full), step-ups, block swings, SSHs, windmills, LBCs, Freddy Mercs, Touch Dem Heels, touch your butts ( you know what I mean), hammer curls, shoulder shrugs, slow squats, decline ‘Mericans, incline ‘Mericans, and probably a few other items.
I learned a little bit about Hoff’s family and education. He’s no slouch, don’t ya know!? He has a Masters degree and his M is a nurse. He has 3 boys, ranging from 18 – 29. One lives at home (Senior at Hopewell), one lives in S.E. Pennsylvania with his girl, and one just got married and lives in Raleigh. They’ll all be home for Christmas. Hoff and his wife have considered relocating locally and downsizing, but no decisions made yet. They love the trails at the back of Stephen’s Grove and it would be hard to leave. Many of you know he retired recently from a long teaching career and now he’s full time into soccer. I failed to ask him who he’s pulling for on Sunday. That should have been a no-brainer question to pose. Me? I’ll go with Messi. It would be a nice end to his story. And this is the end of mine.
Hoff- thanks for posting and thanks for being M Q at such a great AO. See you in the gloom again soon.
Sounds like you had a great workout yourself Soprano!
