Reflection: Golden/Platinum rule
Recently at work I started this bias training where we look at our own internal biases and how that changes the way we see the world. It’s important to realize we have some internal and evolutionary ways we make snap judgements and process info. The hard part is to not let this negatively affect how we interact and favor/not favor others. The Platinum rule is often referenced where we “do unto others” but in the context of treating them the way THEY would want to be treated. This means walking in their shoes and thinking through a different lens sometimes.
I think I may have shared this link last week but here it is again. I really like this story and his humility and servant level leadership.
