Not listed on the Isoptope PAX List but in attendance – Duerte (sp?) and Bob Ross

War Daddy – our very own Master Q Hippie and War Baby was split by Smash and Spare

As I prepared the backblast, I looked on-line for some witty reference to 32 -for the 32 PAX – and what I found is that 32 is a Happy Number – I had a great time today – so I thought that fit – thus the name of the backblast.

For those mathematically inclined – I submit this from Wikipedia :A happy number is a number defined by the following process: Starting with any positive integer, replace the number by the sum of the squares of its digits, and repeat the process until the number either equals 1 (where it will stay), or it loops endlessly in a cycle which does not include 1. Those numbers for which this process ends in 1 are happy numbers, while those that do not end in 1 are unhappy numbers (or sad numbers)

So put that in your pipe and smoke it.  [Hippie – that's just an expression]

Warm-o-rama

Mosey from the fountain to the East side of the theatre – with assorted karaoke, butt kickers and high knees

SSH x 25 IC

IST x 15 IC

Windmill x 15 IC (always good for a loud Gnarly groan – as the kinks get worked out)

Cotton Pickers x 15 IC

Mountain Climbers x 20 IC

The Thang

Using an algorithm that measured among other things – intelligence, inherent good looks and an intangible the Q likes to refer to as "general likability" the PAX were broken into three groups.  To protect the innocent – actual scores were made known only to the Q.

The 3 groups formed lines for an Indian Run the long way around to the West Side of the theatre

Once we got there – find a partner

Partner A assumed the plank position – while Partner B did 15 jumps over/back – over the legs of Partner A.  During the jumping A did 10 mericans.  Each Partner did 3 sets of each exercise.

Everyone find a piece of Curb for Curb Mericans IC x 15.  The cadence went like this:

1 – Down 2 – Up 3 – Right hand to Curb 4 – Left hand to Curb (next set move back to the ground

Mosey to the Greenway

We came to a fork in the road – so we took it.

Find your partner – and divide the partnered PAX into 2 equalish groups

Group 1 – Partner Alpha runs up the hill towards Birkdale Village – while Partner Bravo does Air Squats AMRAP flip flop

Group 2 – Partner Laverne runs to the light near the greenway bridge – while Partner Shirley does LBCs AMRAP flip flop

Once each PAX did 2 circuits – flip/flop the groups (hill vs. greenway) for two more circuits each

Lunge walk towards Birkdale Village

Bear Crawl halfway up the hill – then mosey to the top

Head to the rock pile, grab a rock and head to the parking lot near the tennis courts

Rock Webs 1-2, 2-4, 3-6, 4-8, 5-10

7's or something vaguely resembling 7's

Put the Rocks back – yes, put them back, that's all we're doing

Assemble on the street near the tennis courts

Sprint to the first street, walk to the next street, sprint to the fountain for Mary

– Fun group today – good amount of mumble chatter mixed with the heavy breathing

– The Birkdale Clown car is a force to reckon with – and have started a Standard from the neighborhood – no car for the Clown Car.  I'll have to join you going forward for the run and reduction in the F3 carbon footprint.

– After some twitter smack talk last night – The Force HC'd to Hollywood.  Always good to see the Force – thanks for stopping by.

– Waffle House is coming off the IR and looked good this morning.  Glad to have you back, brother.

– To continue with my Happy Number theme – some additional insight on the definition of a Happy number – If a number is happy, then all members of its sequence are happy; if a number is unhappy, all members of the sequence are unhappy.  Mathematically, I have no idea what that means – as a brotherhood, it means the world.  We are one.  We are united.  We share each other's joys and we share each other's sorrows.  We are there for each other – and are all better for it.

– Thanks as always to Hippie for the chance to lead.  He's looking for Q's.  Step up.  It's a great way to start the day.
