Hey PAX, here’s a great opportunity to get involved in our local community and literally “spread” some love. We did this last year and it’s a worthwhile service project at the Cornelius Community Garden, just off Exit 28 and east on Catawba near Smithville Park. Lisa Mayhew-Jones, a local leader in the community, founder of Smithville Community Coalition and long-time resident of the area, has asked the men of F3 if they could help refresh the garden on March 11 at 8am. The project will involve spreading a large pile of mulch throughout the garden in order to give it a newly refreshed appearance going into the spring growing season. We’re being asked to bring as many wheelbarrows as we can so if you’re able to bring one that would make the project go more efficiently.
In addition to the project, we’ll have a 7am boot camp style working at Smithville Park at 7am which will make it super convenient to help out in whatever capacity you’re able after the workout. Any AO’s which want to converge at Smithville would be awesome. Bedrock will converge at Smithville Park on March 11.
Please sound off in comments with soft or hard commits so we have any idea of the manpower.
Let’s get as many men as we can involved in this project by announcing this in your CoTs and sharing this link in your BB’s.
Thanks for your consideration on helping out!
