Hey PAX, here’s a great opportunity for the men of F3 around Lake Norman to come together for a common cause. We served here last year, and it’s a worthy project. As some of you know, Cornelius has a community garden for its residents and there is a need for manual labor at the garden on March 11, at 8AM. There will be a large mulch pile at the garden which will require loading up wheelbarrows and spreading the mulch throughout the garden to “refresh” the plots. Lisa Mayhew-Jones, a long time resident of the Smithville area and founder of the https://smithvillecommunitycoalition.org/ has reached out to F3 Lake Norman for help. A note about the Smithville Community Coalition – this organization was founded to preserve the rich history of Olde Cornelius around the Smithville area and to encourage residents to take pride in its appearance. This is a great opportunity for the men of F3 in this area to step up and lend a hand.
Note the community garden is just off Exit 28 going east on Catawba and on the right.
As we did last year, we’ll have a special workout in Smithville Park that is within walking distance to the community garden to make it super convenient to lend a hand in whatever capacity you’re able to.
