The Fission Mission


We started the morning off at a comfortable 40 degrees.  Eleven men gathered underneath the parking lot lights outside of 131 Main.  The Q was in their midst but few were expecting Hollywood to lead the workout.  It had been nearly a year since his last Q (which is really quite sad).  Obviously out of practice Hollywood began the workout abruptly, providing no “1 Minute Warning” as BagBoy kindly pointed out.  The group ran to the LaunchPad and began a typical warm up:

                10 Slow Windmills

                20 Imperial Storm Troopers

                10 Cotton Pickers

                10 Merkins

                10 Squats

                10 Freddy Mercuries

                5 Burpies (OYO)

 

There were no FNG’s this morning so the Q dispensed with the Disclaimer.  Several in the group pointed this out (Hat Trick?  The Geek)?  The Q is sorry.  The Q noticed that Special Sauce did not participate in most of the warm-up exercises.  This was due to “technical difficulties” (fogged glasses, untied shoes, etc).  The Q also noticed much mumble chatter. 

 

A quick mosey to the rails and another set of exercises:

                15 SSH

                15 Dips

                15 Merkins (bottom shelf)

                15 Squats

                15 Freddy Mercuries

                5 Burpies (OYO)

 

Mosey to the first corner of the square and repeato each exercise 10 times with a finisher of 5 Burpies OYO.

Mosey to the 2nd corner and repeato each exercise 15 times with a finisher of 5 Burpies OYO.  The Q mixed it up a little with diamond merkins.

Lunge walk to the 3rd corner with a repeat of each exercise 20 times with a finisher of 5 Burpies OYO. 

Mosey to the rails.

 

The Q noticed there were several BS calls, several comments that there was a lot of repeato, and Soprano commented that the Q had been looking up exercises on YouTube.  The Q also noticed that mumble chatter had stopped.

 

Now at the rails the group continued to sweat:

                20 Squats

                10 Merkins (because the Q could not do 20 top shelf merkins)

                10 Freddy Mercuries

                10 LBC

                5 Burpies (OYO)

Back to 131 Main for a finisher (20 Freddy Mercuries, 20 Low Flutters, 10 Merkins, 5 Burpies OYO)
