Mr. Hand Workout

In conjunction with his Tuesday maiden voyage into teaching at Davidson College, Mr. Hand (aka GK) led 18 PAX on a capital markets oriented beatdown around Chambers this morning.  The workout was about as much fun as the markets have been lately, but at least we learned something as the PAX was challenged to guess the method to YHC's madness along the way.

Jog to Chambers Patio for basic stretching.  When the morning theme was clarified, P'Diddy also announced plans to protest GK's hiring for fear of degree dilution going forward.  Pretty sure he was kidding but not positive!

2.31- 2 laps around Chambers, 31 straight count merkins (answer: current 10 year treasury yield)

49.56- 49 straight count squats, 56 straight count mason twists (answer: Wells Fargo stock price- "check out the brain on Duvall.")

5.96- partner up- each team happily does 5 laps around Chambers and 96 jumpies (answer: % loss in S&P 500 last week- awesome!)

1933- in tribute to Sea Biscuit (now residing in Dusseldorf, Germany where he has started an international PAX complete with F3 branded Lederhosen!), 19 boxing jabs and upper cuts- one set for each side, 33 side straddle hops. (answer: Securities Act of 1933 which separated banks/ i-banks via Glass Steagall laws as well as established expansive regulatory powers for the SEC.  Incorrect/ less correct answers included the Great Depression, the Stock Market Crash, the year Rolling Rock was first brewed and the year Baby Back was born.)

COT- Hooker announced he was going to win the Powerball Lottery and turn all his winnings to P'Diddy and YHC, only after building the Pain Lab of all time (use your imagination!)…Thanks as always for the opportunity to lead this group and for the support regarding the career augmentation (still keeping day job until Ms. Khan can support us).   See you in the Gloom.
