7 PAX Called To The Battlefield at The Thunderdome

The Thunderdome is not for the weak, nor the faint of heart. It is a battle ground that forges men into warriors. Seven PAX answered that call and stepped on that battlefield to prevail against all the excuses, distractions, and temporary pain that tempts us to stay away. Tonight, 7 PAX shed their weakness.

Warm-Up

  • SSH 15X IC

The Battlefield:

  • 30lb, 40lb, 50lb, & 60lb sandbags lined up on one side of the field
  • 35lb, 40lb, & 50lb kettlebells lined up 40 yards away on the other side of the  field
  • 4 PAX start on sandbags, 3 PAX start on KB's
  • Complete set then run across field to perform next set
  • 12 minute AMRAP back and forth across the field

Circuit 1 (12 minutes)

  • Squat, Clean, & Press with sandbags 15X OYO
  • Kettlebell Swings 25X OYO

Circuit 2 (12 minutes)

  • Power Burpees with sandbag 10X OYO (a burpee with a power snatch on the way up)
  • Goblet Squat & Press with KB 10X OYO

Circuit 3 (6 minutes)

  • Rotating Upright Rows 10X OYO (could substitute for standard upright rows)
  • Single Arm bent over rows 10X OYO

Circuit 4 (6 minutes)

  • Military Press with sandbag 10X OYO
  • KB Swings 10X OYO

  • Low Flutter 25X IC

  • That was certainly one of the harder workouts that YHC has done, TCLAPS to all the PAX for giving it all they got, and pushing themselves through the end
  • Thanks for the hug Nitestick, unfortunately it won't stop the pain train every Tuesday night
  • 50lb KB was a game changer, a whole lot heavier than what we've been using
  • Great job tonight Billy Club, you are a beast and you keep coming out for more
    • And TCLAPS for making sure your pops was out there too, love having you guys there
