No Snow Day for the IBS

Event Date

Jan 22, 2016

Three Davidson Ultra-Faithful braved the snowy elements to arrive at the Town Green at 5:10am for a modified Arnold Palmer.  We ran for 30 minutes then went to the IB School Pullup Bars to start on four rounds of IBS.

We honored Duvall on our run with a trip down and up the Spring Street Hill, then we gave a nod to the Seabiscuit by making the fresh tracks on the track for a couple of laps.  Then back to Green to check for other Pax.  We missed Grillz, who arrived at 5:30am as requested, but we were not back yet!  He joined the Pain Lab instead!

The IBS consisted of the standard 10 pullups, 20 pushups, 30 squats, run to Pavers at DUMC, then three different exercises led by alternating "Qs", then run back to Bars.  After four IBS rounds were completed, we went in the Pain Lab Hut for some "Crude" Yoga for 5 mins and COT with the Inside crew.

Moleskin:

The pull-up bars were frozen which made the most hated exercise even more difficult than normal.  #fingertipsslippingoff

Squiggy is fast… even in the snow he was dragging us along like we were weights chained to his ankles.

Devo said his hands were completely frozen by the end of the workout.  As Scrum would tell you, these snowy/cold days require more than the Ace hardware thermals – think ski gloves next time!

As much as I publicly ridicule the Pain Lab, I really like it (and need it) and enjoyed the five minutes of stretching at the end of our workout – thanks Crude!  But again, I can't let you off the hook completely.  Pain Lab still needs to move back outside to make sure the workout is adhering to all of F3's Core Principles!
