Winners & Loozers, and Mary with a Rope

THREE FNGs listed but not named in the above:  Naimesh, Jeremy and Joel.

Also not listed (not registered on the site "yet"): Ceasar and The Iron Man.

WARM-O-RAMA (all IC In Cadence):

Lap-o-rama (around the park, with a few mis-directions thrown in for agility work).

SSHs x20, ESTs x15, The Windmill x12, Mountain Climbers x15, Merkins (while we're here) x15, Bounce up for Cotton Pickers x12

THE THANG:

Count off by 2s to form 2 even teams of ten.  Short face-off at mid court, then mosey up the grassy hill to what Toxic refers to as "the soccer field"…  Awaiting the PAX there was a long, thick, black… ROPE!  Next exercise is… The Tug of War!

Team 2 won = 10 burpees on your own while Team 1 planks (watches).

Quick repeato to give Team 1 a chance to win after Team 2 hit the burpees.  It was a closer match, but Team 2 prevailed.  A check of the weinke confirmed this time the loozers did 10 burpees while team 1 plaked/watched/joked.

Mosey to the playground.

1s = 10 pull-ups while 2s = 20 dips.  FlapJack. Repeato. I had a Threepeato on the weinke, but the large numbers made the pull-ups too slow.

Indian Run to bottom of Hugh Torrence.  Then turn and quadrophelia up the hill to the rock pile.

Hi and Low Curls x10 ea

Shoulder Presses x10

Skull Crushers x10 (thx for the reminder, Toxic)

Side-Lunge-Squat w/ rock (ouch, and not a crowd favorite).  Really works the hammies and inner thighs…

Deadlift x10

Mosey toward the tennis court, but quick stop to introduce FNGs to Queen's Corner for The Bicycle x15 various speeds.

At fence of tennis court, partner up for Partner Toe-Lifts.  1s first while 2s ride x12.  Flapjack for 2s x13 – oops.  Kumquat just couldn't stop and YHC was having too much fun riding…

MARY WITH A ROPE:

PAX line up along the 3-pt line, with 1 at the free-throw line.  Rope wrapped around goal post.  PAX takes turns calling Mary exercise (except for Top Gun and Megaphone (I think) who called Merkins and Monkey Humpers respectively) while the 1 at the FT line does shoulder work with the rope.  Take turns calling the exercises til all PAX completed the rope work.  Hence, "Mary with a Rope".

THE MOLESKINE:

THREE FNGs today, plus The Iron Man for just his 3rd post.  Nothing could make me happier, and feels special to see it at The Wilderness – where many of us posted for the first time at some point.  Jorel would have been proud (ya know – if he'd posted today).  Welcome Naimesh (EH'ed by Tantrum), Jeremy (EH'ed by Toxic) and Joel (EH'ed by Burner).  And The Iron Man (EH'ed by The Force) for his 1st post with an official nickname.  I EH'ed his dad for years, so he finally just sent his son…

Moses says YHC looks at my weinke a lot during the warmorama.  Well I'm proud of it so why not look at it often (and it was pretty big today).

Partner Toe-lifts = great bonding and 2nd F.

Really thought the 1st team to win and have to do burpees while loozing team planked would throw the 2nd game of Tug of War, which is why the weinke had the loozers doing the burpees after game 2.  Didn't work out like I thought, but at least everyone got to do 10 burpees.

Both my hamstrings started to lock up after the bicyle at Queen's Corner (thanks, Half Life and Jolly Roger).  I had to run like a penguin to get back to the park. #HappyFeet

The rope will be available to any Q for use at any Wilderness workout – just message me if you want it there.  Can't leave it there like we do cinder blocks and bricks, though.

Some of the posture and facial expressions of the guys on the rope were priceless.  Kumquat and Megaphone both come to mind on that…

Prayers for Moses (job), Megaphone (health), Olive and family (for peace and continued support – I don't know if healing exists for their situation), and my dear friend Bill Parker who has just 3 treatments left after today for his brain tumor.

The FNGs were great to have today – a reminder that someone out there is praying for F3, whether they realize it or not.  Fill their void by EHing them and supporting them.  EH guys you haven't seen in a while, too – they may need F3 and not realize it.  Offer to pick them up for your next workout.  Aye.
