21 men gathered for a free mens workout this past Saturday morning, but instead, they got fried stuff with cheese! Here is their story:
A bunch of people posted for the River Rat 5k. Several more posted for Excelsior. But only a select few (actually 21) could make it to the finest workout Richard Barry Park has ever seen on the first saturday in July on a year ending in 6. And here is what happened (to the best of my knowledge).
– SSH x 20 (IC)
– IST x 20 (IC)
– Cotton Pickers x 20 (IC)
The Thang:
The county fair consists of 10 pain “rides” located around the football field behind Barnette elementary. Each “ride” lasted 2 min unless I decided to extend or shorten. Time starts when the Pax start. Some exceptions were made for good and bad behavior.
Stations 1: Pax split into groups of 10, one group goes to one end of the field for 20 merkins, the other at the other end for 20 WWII situps. When you finish you run to the opposite end and work your way down by 1. We got to about 11 or 12 and I stopped it due to time.
Station 2: Up Downs (on Coach’s whistle)
Station 3: Quadrifilia up the hill
Station 4: Crawl bear up the hill and Bear Crawl down.
Station 5: Shuttle Hill Sprints (On Coach’s whistle)
Station 6: Monkey Rolls (just watch the video)

Station 7: Partner Presses
Station 8: Lateral drills w/Pax as dummies
Station 9: Jack Webb until…about 10 i think
Station 10: Greg Louganis Merkins with 10 shoulder touch merkins. Maybe got up to 3 before mutiny was running rampid.
Mary by committee
I believe Winger selected some situps
Professor led some JLo
YHC led some homer to marge with a rosalita twist.

Naked Man Moleskin:
Winger, while not registered on the website, is a big fan of the monkey roll. Fun to watch somebody so excited about jumping up and down and rolling around on the muddy ground. I love it too Winger!
Steamy, also not registered but quite appropriately named for the workouts I have experienced with him.
We had perfect numbers until Dallas creeped up behind me during Warmorama, it all went downhill after that.
Tclaps to Turnpike for running 10miles or so before the workout. Crazy!
Great to see the Perthshire crew there but missing Landshark and has anybody seen Elmers?
Magnus needs a new van for his clown car, they are busting at the seems.
Men, thank you for your attendance and willingness to let me have my fun out there on Saturday. Thanks to Professor for his leadership at The Estate and making it one of the best AOs and workouts in Isotope! Also thanks as always to the man who EHd me a few years ago, Black Eyed Pea, who seems to be conveniently absent whenever I Q. I don't hold it against him, I can understand his fear leading up to this years BRR. Today (actually Saturday) reminded me of how vital Saturday workouts are. The summer is half over, and I know you guys have been talking to that one guy at your church or your neighborhood pool that has been dragging his feet. Next Saturday (July 16th) we will be conducting a F3 Dads workout. Bring your kids of all ages to have a great time and make sure you get it out to the sad clowns that they can bring their kids this weekend, men in our area are praying for something to change their life right now, and you can help them out, plus it will definitely be fun!
Argh!
