PAX

One brave soul fought the urge to stay warm in bed, on this rainy morning, and joined this YHC to learn what is certain to be a required survival skill.  The fair weather fighters will need to arrange their altercations ahead of time to align with their desired weather patterns since wind and rain appear to be an inconvinient nuisance.  Lets hope the weather is warm and mild when the required skills will be called upon.  The wind was mild and the rain very light as we trained protected by the canopy above us.  Nymph arrived at 0500 to begin his initial class in this system.  His advanced understanding of the human body will serve him well in the practical applications of this system.  This morning session focused on the standard drills and moved to the defense against knives.  This is a very dangerous weapon to defend against and requires severe techniques that quickly disable the opponents ability to continue his attack.  One thing for certain will happen in a knife fight,, no matter how skilled you are,, you will get cut.  It is therefore necesarry to minimize the exposure of vulnerable targets on your own body, disable the vulnerabilities exposed on the attacker and find more effective targets than the big protected bone covered ball on the top of the neck.
