The sort of finished greenway along the power lines and into Oakhurst provided the pathway for this wandering crew. Except for one slightly sketch "place" on the southeast side (think "all I'm missing is the confederate flag" not that there's anything wrong with that (yeah there is)) it's a wonderful trail.
The pax were up for a little running so we headed to Madilyn's and surprised the True Grit pax lounging in the confines to Early Grey's fine establishment. We surprised them with 5 Burpees inside and then proceeded to cut through the soybean field to the immediate south (back yard of Lowes) and picked up the southwest leg of the greenway. We proceeded back at a brisker pace to be sure to halt all exertion on the agreed upon time.
I borrowed a classic Gnarly Goat ploy and deployed the 6 minute timer throughout the workout which signaled the application of pain, most of which involved Merkins of various types.
Rock Lobster clocked us in at just over 5 miles.
Good jovial crew that still covered some miles. Thanks guys!!
