22 Storm Chasers ignored the Cantore warning of 80% rain chance at 0530 and posted to see what would ultimately tourn out to be an F3 storm (see what YHC did right there 😉 ) of unprecedented measures. Ironically everyone ended up getting soaked yet, not a drop of rain fell until COT. Here's how it went down:
Warm-o-rama: all IC unless noted
25 SSH, 15 IW, 15 Squats, 10 Mt. Climbers, 10 Merkins, 20 Cotton Pickers, 20 Toy Soldiers
Mosey to garage of Flatiron: (this was original back-up plan if raining) No rain but the storm came and she was a doozie.
Run to top of parking garage, 15 straight count Merkins back to bottom. Initially, there was no exercise at the bottom, but BabyBack insisted we needed something, so YHC was listening and ultimately accommodating…Burpee at the bottom! Pax says thank you BB!
Top: 14, 13, 12, 11……..1. When finished, hold Al Gore until all Pax completed.
Next was the Squat, 10, 9, 8, ……1 at the top and burpees at the bottom.
Next, the Pax was introduced to the "BURP-O", not Burpee. A new and exciting exercise, which early indicators suggest might be one the most favorited new exercise to come to TPR. Start in a low squat position, quick drop to all fours, flat on the groundl, then quick snap back up to a "low" squat position. The key is staying low in the squat position and fast down up. Show to know next time….she's a beaut Clark!
Originally called for 15 to 1 Burp-O, but audible came at 13, when YHC received more death threats than our newly elected POTUS and dropped to 8, 7, 6,….1.
Next, Baby back called for run down garage for 20 LBC's, back to the top, bottom for 30, back to top. Finally finished with another 5 to 1, top to bottom of "Travoltas". It may have a different name elsewhere in F3 nation, but it's basically started in a crab walk position, where you are reaching and lifting opposite arm and leg for a touch above your head, alternating back and forth. We called it Travolta, because it simulates someone trying to pull a Travolta move from Saturday Night Fever. Not sure any Hates will get that reference.
MARY: Finally, we finished with 50 LBC's, 20 Low flutters, 20 Seated tucks, and 20 heals to heaven then mosey back to the Green.
COT: Ansel ask we remember his mom as she has transitioned into an assisted living and it's not going too well.
Name-o-rama: welcome FNG Adam Drake, known going forward as "Play-doh"
Moist Naked mole skin: Not a time goes by, as Q, or as part of the Pax, that I'm not completely in awe of the F3 men of Davidson….total studs! Regardless of what's on tap, or who's bringing it, they simply acknowledge, say thank you, and get to work. Lot of respect in Davidson, and I'm humbled to be a part of the great men here and call it my home AO. Strong work done by all today…pleasure and honor to lead you. Aye!!
posted from phone so please excuse errors…that was hard!
