Can you help a brother out?

Event Date

Feb 01, 2017

After desparately trying last night to get a brother to take my Q – I looked at my phone this morning at 4:55 and saw no takers……can you help a brother out?  This was a sign that I was truly being a giant wimp (I am too polite to type the word that better described me), so I joined 7 other men in the gloom and lead them through an unprepared beatdown.

The PAX also inlcuded Buckner, Ghiradelli, Puddin and Mile High.

  • Sets of 5 burpees oyo with different leg excercises in between
  • Mosey to the Davidson College art building for some wall work – dips, incline and decline merkins
  • Mosey down Depot Steet for round of Mary

           – 15x of LBCs, WWII Sit Ups, Pickle Pounders and Mason Twists

  • Mosey to DUMC for brick and paver work

            – Rounds of arm raises, curls, skull crushers, shoulder presses, etc & ended with brick merkin thrusters

  • Back to green to finish out with more burpees and LBC's

Found Stump Jumper and The Hangover lounging in adirondacks when we got back to The Green. We assumed their "The Revolt" run was not enough so they joined in burpees/LBCs and COT.

We were all honored to have Spanarkle with us this morning.  As the true gentleman he is, Spanarkle spoke to us about his dad, the great life he lead, and his battle with alzheimers.  He & his family are grieving, and is so grateful for the thoughts and prayers from his F3 brothers.  Can't believe I came so close to wimping out, missing out on being there with a brother who inspires us all.   I know some mornings are tough, and we have lost our motivation, but remember…..you could be missing out on an experience like we shared this morning.
