Ruckers & Runners, Oh My!

YHC rolled in to find a gaggle of pax waiting to patake in pre-dawn cardio. Upon engaging in verbal intercourse I discovered a good number of these sleep deprived men had already rucked and were ready to inflict further pain upon themselves so off we went into the Gloom that is Mattress City.

The Thang:

After launching toward the soon to be former H.H. Gregg store it immediately became apparent there would be two groups today. The speedy Loveshack posse chasing a rabbit named Pierogi and the normal LSD group. After doing the loop through Race Shop Row at a rumored 7:30 pace said rabbit apparently informed his chasers they had been running too quickly and he had "lady cramps". Take Midol. Meanwhile the slow and steady group proceeded at a still brisk eight and a half minute pace rounding down Williamson to Brawley School Road and back to the AO via Plantation Parkway. Four miles were covered in all by those who ran the planned route. Several made diversions so your on your own for mileage accounting. I know the speedier among us threw in an extra half mile or so, well done.

Back at the AO reluctant Pax circled up for some brief Mary while the mumblechatter continued:

20 – Low Flutters IC

20 – LBC's IC

15 – Boxcutters IC

Recover, Recover

Moleskin:

It was great to see a large crowd post for a Thursday run. Hopefully we can sustain the numbers as CSAUP event training progresses through spring and summer.

YHC was unsure of the early morning/late night rucking numbers but there must have been several. Props to those who stayed and ran to further punish yourselves. You are both inspiring and insane.

This Saturday, April 1, will be the Race City 4th Anniversary pain fest. Party to follow at the Crack House.

FNG Kameron James (formerly of Flint, MI) made his first post. He intends to be at the convergence Saturday for pain and naming.

Thank you for the honor today.
