In Luke 23 Pilate was passive in his interaction with Jesus…trying to pass him back to the jewish crowd first then 2nd to Herod and 3rd back to the crowd. Ultimately he ‘ceremonially’ tried to clean himself from the decision that was made in turning him over to be crucified. Isn’t that what we as men do with Jesus…we at times are passive and dismissive of him and when we are confronted we ceremonially try to clean ourselves…the challenge for us today is what are we (you and I) doing with Jesus…are you and i actively engaged or are we working diligently to avoid the decision…how will you consider Jesus today?Moleskine: Lots of MC, likely woke the neighbors.
