18 Pax hit the Mighty Jungle for a humid but cooler than usual Saturday morning beatdown.
Started out by grabbing some cinder blocks and tranporting them to the parking lot area
Warm o Rama – tried a couple new ones not sure if there are F3 names for these but we did some
1. Side to side chops
2. Plank tucks
along with all the other standard fare of warm ups.
Threw in some Burpees for good meausre (5 total), we did repeato on the 5 burpees every 5 minutes (or thereabouts)
Mosied over to a football and a tire. Since earlier the tire fell over I asked Black Beard to stand and hold tire. He probably thought oh boy what next. The tire was 25 yards away from the PAX and they had to throw the football for accuracy. Through the tire they only received 10 reps of the next excercise, hit the tire 20 reps and a complete miss 30 reps. We did various block excercises, pull-ups, hand release merkins, etc..
We proceeded with this for the next several excercises by way of 4 corners. Since the PAX couldn't hit the target I decided to try them on Frisbee throwing accuracy. There were 3 cones roughly 25 yards away with the same premise. Close to the center cone 10 reps, close to the outside cones 20 reps and complete miss 30 Reps. The PAX were more accurate throwing the frisbee (they skipped it across the ground). I guess they are better at playing beach games then football.
After we completed 7 corners or so we proceeded over to the St. Marks activity field thanks to Crimson and proceeded to play a very competitive game of ulitmate Frisbee. After a little debate on dividing the teams by shirt colors the 2's finally took off their shirts. It didn't look like they made it to the beach this year yet to partake in the beach games they were good at.
Wrapped it up with 5 burpees.
Thanks to Crimson for unlocking the gate (that took only a minute), getting the gate back closed took 15 minutes of manipulating the the steal pipe that has the hasp for the lock on it and it has to be below the clip. Anyways thanks again.
