Yo Adrian

Event Date

Aug 29, 2017

Six of MIL's finest made it out on a humid and damp morning in response to the call of Yo Adrian. The following is a loose recollection and retelling of just what happened.

Warm-o-Rama

Grab a brick / paver.  SSH, TS, Windmill, cotton frickin' cherry pickers, all with the aid and accompaniment of bricks

The Thang

Mosey over to the covered area with bricks in tow. Most of these were I/C since that is the only way Q can count

  • 10-part Man-maker mercans – 10-part numbering system goes as follows: 1) squat, 2) plank, 3) down mercan, 4) up mercan, 5) right arm raise with brick, 6) left arm raise with brick, 7) split legs, 8) un-split legs, 9) legs up to squat position and 10) jump up (and say yay)

  • Squats with brick shoulder press

  • Brick leg lifts with bricks with each Pax counting down from 10 at their preferred pace

Moleskine

  • Word on the street in the MIL F3 region is that Overlook does not post when it is rainy out. Consider the gauntlet thrown down.

  • Thankfully Swamp Thing showed up, albeit tardy, to save some HOA face

  • 10-part man makers were fittingly the first exercise we did

  • FNG has been christened as "Hochuli" to MIL F3. Andy Howland resides in The Quarry Hood, has a wife in FIA who is fitter than him, has two active boys that keeps him busy, has a landscape company and referees hockey on the side. Moniker is in reference to NFL referee Ed Hochuli, who is best known for his athletic/muscular physique and for explaining on-field rulings in a manner that is comprehensive yet also clear and concise.

  • Fists of fury were out in abundance this morning

  • There was a slight drizzle this morning that was cool and refreshing, and resembled the misters you would see at Carowinds on a hot summer day

  • “I love it when you call me Big Stomper”. So said Big E. (Smalls) Pompi (attached)

  • Grip is concerned that Q’s anger management therapy may not have taken. Upon reflection, it may have been the haymakers

  • Calling an audible for this Saturday.Instead of Riverbend, planning to meet at the Overlook soccer field on Saturday 9/2 at 7 am for some “Ultimate Frisbee”. There is also some potential for a Labor Day Monday workout as well, so plan your hangover accordingly. Stay tuned

  • Yo Adrian, We Did It!
