Skipper Skipped Out

After a long hiatus it was decided that Friday was not a day for fun runs but rather for feasting. And so two hungry men arranged to meet at Jason’s in Huntersville because #freeicecream. I recall asking Clark if he came in the company truck as there was a Duke vehicle in front of me as I pulled into the parking lot. I also wondered if Goat had left the “smallish” SUV home in favor of Engine One which was also sitting out front. Lo and behold, Goat did join us (albeit in the social media wagon). He also led us in the blessing before we got to supping. We discussed nuclear power, bachelor weekends (with kids), and getting high up high. We also talked about anthems, protests and NFL players with buckwheat haircuts. We all snarfed down ice cream. But then Goat had to leave. As Clark and I were getting ready to head out, Silver Bullet came in. He wasn’t going to keep us, but when I offered to let him have my second helping of ice cream (although he had to get it himself), he gladly obliged and we loitered a little longer. While it might have been nice to have more of the gang out for shenanigans, it was a nice return to Friday #2ndF in the ‘ville. There was no expectation of a back blast, but Skipper seemed awful interested so I obliged. Maybe he’ll join us for the next Friday Feast Day. #S2K
