A Soggy and Breezy Stroll

AO

Emmaus was simple this morning.  We ran.  6 posted to get ~4-5 miles, depending whose watch we looked at.  Route was greenway to Westmoreland, to Catawba, to Sam Furr, back to Birkdale.  2 more joined us at Starbucks for coffee and Bible discussion.

DISCUSSION:

Continued recap of this week’s Bible readings, according to plan being followed with Daily Audio Bible.  If you aren’t already doing it, I highly recommend this method of tuning in (coming from someone who has started up and given up multiple times trying to read OYO).

Discussed family feud amongst Abraham’s offspring, which will eventually lead to the great divides that exist between Judaism, Islam, and Christianity.  We should ask ourselves, “What agendas are keeping us estranged from each other?”  Also discussed letting go of our strongest attachments in order to completely serve.  Other rabbit holes were explored as well.

If you have missed any of the Bible reading days, don’t be discouraged or give up (or not try at all).  Wisdom from Jedi: listen to today’s readings first so you don’t feel like you are hurrying to play catch up.  Then go back and listen to the ones that you missed.  This is a mind hack that will get you back on track quickly, as you won’t fall further behind while closing the gap simultaneously.

MOLESKIN:

  • Great run this morning with Jedi, Red October, Lawn Dart, Don Ho, and Big Montana.  It was long, slow distance this morning, and it felt good.  Getting these cardio miles in will help tremendously when we are at higher elevations.
  • Extra mileage was gotten by those that went ahead and then circled back to pick up the six.  This goes to show that it is always worth it to make sure no man is left behind.
  • Lawn Dart, excellent job this morning.  Those hills were tough, but you dropped your head and muscled through them.  For someone who doesn’t run, you kicked it in the teeth.
  • Good to see Ramrod and Gnarly Goat join us for the discussion.  Your contribution to the conversation is always on point.
  • Missed Cornwallis and Two Buck Chuck this morning.  Hope you guys are resting and traveling well.
  • As always, thanks Jedi for the opportunity to lead.

Aye,

BB
