Second Side of the Fire Triangle

Event Date

Jan 17, 2018

It was raining when we started our workout this morning, and cold enough to want to start quickly. Despite the bad weather, 8 manned up and punched the fartsack in the throat. This will be the second installment of the fire triangle at The Mighty Oak. Gnarly Goat (aka Chief Goat) dispatched the alarm last week. YHC (aka The Rook) pulled up to the fire today. And Silver Bullet (aka Firefighter of the East) advances the nozzle next week. Many were letting go of the probability of a winter wonderland, but kept hopes alive throughout the beatdown. As it turns out, we worked and hoped so hard there was an inch of snow on the ground before we finished. You’re welcome Huntersville. Here’s what we did to make it happen (as I remember it).Warmorama:SSH x20icIST x15icSquats x5ic (lots more to come)Apollo Ono x15ic (because, well, it’s snowing)Toy Soldier x15icThang: Mosey around the parking lot and stop at every light post for squats in cadence. 1 at the first, 2 at the second and so on (14 lights in all)Indian Run to the round-about for a pain clock: Start at 12, run all the way around to 1 o’clock and do (pax choice) 1 Merican and 11 Monkey Humpers, around to 2 o’clock, 2 Mericans and 10 Monkey Humpers. Swing State says you can’t NOT do monkey humpers at a busy intersection. There was also lots of talk about snow “balls” at this point in the workout.Mosey back up to the lot for more lightpole squats. Interrupted by MARY under the back door portico (LBCs, Pretzyls and Low Flutters on dry pavement). All in all it was 330 squats total this morning. A leg…BURNER…I would say.
