After months of buildup and memory loss of the suck of the past trail runs, 8 men got at it this morning. Knowing that the trails would be iced and muddy we deemed this to be our first CSAUP of the year.
Participation across each level 4,9,13 miles (distances are approximate) but each one putting in solid effort to make their way through iffy conditions to cross the finish line. The trails were angry my friend .. there were parts covered in snow, packed ice, brown ice (who knew) and a mud pit. The trails weren't fast but everyone seemed to enjoy the suck just as they had in years past and welcome to a couple first timers. Regardless there were stories of times improved, segment PRs and all crossing the finish line unscathed.
Following the race many went to get a tasty adult beverage and chat it up with PAX from other regions. There is even talk of kicking up the participation and having F3 represent with the tent next year, perfect place for an EH. Like to see more join in on the fun next year.
