Old Style was there, but not here. If you know him, tell him to message Blackbeard on Twitter at @blackbeard_f3 for instructions on getting listed.

Thanks to the runners who decided to hang with us, we finally had enough Pax for a game of Ultimate and had some fun while essentially doing wind sprints and lateral shuffles for 45 minutes.

We moseyed 'round the field and started with some warmups at the pavilion, where the ground was as dry as the humor.

Ultimate Frisbee was a bit weird because, due to uneven sides, I started out as a floater on whatever side had possession. I wound up being offensive to the offense when I couldn't keep track of which team I was on or which direction I was going, since possession changed by the second! Bad idea. So I switched to staying on one team for a few scores before moving over. Better idea. Then Primo left a bit early, so we had 10 minutes of even-sided play.

I personally (as opposed to professionally) fouled Moses in the end zone, but he still wouldn't take the score ("Takes the high road always this one does." – Yoda). Lots of great plays and high scoring made for an awesome game. Ultimate is a fun game where height and hustle (mostly hustle) are distinct advantages. And it's a great workout that gets in two or three miles of sprinting before you're done.

Back to the pavilion for some Mary's. . .

A quick COT and off to Waterbean for some second F. Good to see all the familiar faces there. Thanks to all who showed up today. Next week it's back to the ass-kicking basics. See you there, gents!
