Team Seuss takes Team Jersey Boy – Rematch?

So many activities happening at BRP this morning.  Kachow and Mayhem got the party started with 1.75 miles from home to BRP, where they picked up YHC, Landline, RiverBoat, and Shaken for another 2.75 miles.

At 0645, Soprano, Metallica and Mojito launched for 7+ miles of Palmetto 200 training.

At 0700, the disc golf madness began, with MATH, followed by Dr. Seuss, Landline, Shaken (not stirred), Jersey Boy, Waffle House, Mayhem and Kachow.  After 2 holes of fun, Mayhem and Kachow had to return the 1.75 miles to home on foot to get the day started.  So, we started with 8 on the course and finished with 6.

Thang:

Standard warmorama activities on the upper field, including demonstrations of the exercise that would be required on the disc golf course for every miss.  Continue to the 1st tee box where Captains Suess and Jersey Boy chose teams.

Team Seuss included Moses, Landline, and Kachow…until it didn't

Team Boy included Shaken, Waffle House and Mayhem…until it didn't

After every throw (unless it went in the basket), the team had to complete an exercise. 1st hole, chest exercise.  2nd hole, leg exercise.  3rd hole, abs.  Repeato through 18 holes.  Score – Team Seuss 10.  Team Boy 8…despite early efforts by Captain Jersey Boy to change the official score and blame his error on oxygen deprivation.

The ballsy Team Seuss, after clearly dominating the day, accepted an all or nothing challenge for the 19th hole.  It was Dr. Seuss' own shot from deep brush, on his knees, throwing uphill from 25 feet that won the day for Team Seuss…again!

Some additional exercises ensue on the upper field, including the dreaded bear slide and merkins.

COT with the P200 runners.  Dr. Seuss brought us out, until he didn't…didn't have anything else to say, that is.

Moleskine:

1) Shaken's dissidence was early and often, egged on by Waffle House, who was certain the instructions were incomplete. Apparently, the Q is expected to repeat instructions on a continuous loop, hoping that the pax will hear at some point. SMH

2) Outlaw, after much chatter on Friday, was missing.  But, we heard later that he was playing doctor to an ill family member.  Absence accepted.

3) Jersey Boy was giddy that there were more pax today than toes on his foot. Aye. We'll bring back the glory of BRP, just the way it started…with a few good men.

4) Landline's mulligan on the 3rd hole was a controversial (and slightly embarrassing) move, but the ever objective Q quickly made a decision to keep the play moving.  It was on the 3rd hold when Team Boy finally understood the rules.

5) Good time in the gloom with my brothers this morning.  Thanks for following for 60 minutes.
