Like with anything, there is the real deal and there is imitation. For example, Alaskan king crab and the stuff you find on salad bars. Thus, there is THE Taco Tuesday (Uptown) review, and then the H’Ville style, where chimichanga are consumed? Is that really a Taco Tuesday? Sure it is, Taco Tuesday has no rule to the food you grub, this becomes official today, as Magnus decides to garnish a pretty bowl, instead of the three taco dishes, and the six (Mona Lisa) partook in. Regardless, there was a plethora of bad breath and great attitudes walking out of the crowded Tru Taco.
Not to go unmentioned, two defectors left the comfort and humble abode of Uptown to visit La Unica, from what I gather the rain kept them away from walking through the Uptown mall and to Tru Taco. Insert “meh” emoticon.
YHC has heard chatter about effective backblasts. As a Denver PAX, just sit back and watch how this goes. One thing we know how to do is articulate our efforts into eloquent displays of grammar rich, hokum free, and to the point accounts of actual events. Nonetheless, we enjoy our counts, and the only way to get them is to post a backblast. Heck Taco Tuesday USE TO ADD to those…but no, no mas!

None of that happened.
Wait in the line, extending its grasp around the corner, and almost into the dungeon of a parking deck connecting BB&T and WF2 buildings. If, you were early/on-time no worries, other than Mona Lisa ordering 6 tacos, which threw the Tacos Chefs into a state of distress. If, you were Turncoat, Roadie, SweetC, or Magnus, you enjoyed the line. Wait, there is hokum, SweetC skipped line…YHC is pretty sure of that. Regardless, we all ate together.

Clubber’s specific review:
Magnificent amount of options this week. Add to that the ability to have a unique user experience and select everything you want on your taco, and bowl. SMH. Several meaty or veggie options to select from, along with a flour or corn shell, which they double! Major props on the double shell.
Food: Not a lot of taste (for me) Carnitas was the best, also consumed, and still digesting, chicken and beef. You have to get a beef taco at each location. Per the rules. Chips were $1.00 a bag, and the bag was large, like the one to put over a head, but the chips were a lonely few that greased up the edges of the bag like a Five Guys burger. No freebies here, that’s a point. 5
Atmosphere: Lots of people watching. Long line, horrible. Not a lot of seating for large groups of hungry PAX, some more than others obviously, 6 Tacos!? 6
Overall: Not my favorite, and not last on my list. I am looking forward to numerous other ventures each Taco Tuesday, and supposedly there are dozens of options yet explored. Overall 5.5
