Taco Tuesday – Salsarita’s Edition

Event Date

Mar 13, 2018

I finally posted to my first Taco Tuesday at Uptown, which was considerable easier than posting to a Vern Tuesday at Gladiator, the later I conveniently failed to attend this morning. This afternoon’s dinning establishment was Salsarita’s Fresh Mexican Grill in the Overstreet Mall. Since their beginnings in Charlotte, NC in 2000, Salsarita’s has expanded to locations in 18 states and growing. With a bright, colorful, comfortable restaurant and signature dishes like the Quesorito, this success is no surprise. Franchising Opportunities Available.

The Review

Not only was this my first time to a F3 sponsored Taco Tuesday event it was also my first time at Salsaritas. This seemed odd to me as I enjoy cheap Mexican food as much as the next guy unless the next guy is Sweet C who just happened to be sitting with me at lunch today, he enjoys cheap Mexican food way more than I do, way more, it’s really not even close. Today I ordered the two Taco combo: Two Tacos, chips and salsa, and a medium drink.  I chose hard shells with shredded pork, hot salsa, lettuce, cheese and cilantro, again went with the hot salsa for my chips and washed it down with self-made Arnold Palmer. Overall, the food was unremarkable: chips were on the salty side and clumped together, the pork was good but bland if not for the salsa and the Arnold Palmer was a little heavy on the lemonade (that was my bad). In conclusion, I had to walk past Tru Taco in route to Salsaritas, a mistake I will not make in the future when looking for some tasty Tacos.

2nd F was great. Goat and I reminisced on Justin Fatica event we both attended for fathers and sons at St. Mark’s. I found out Ramrod’s family is expecting to grow by one more this summer, congratulations to him and his wife, Sweet C gave me a long list of Taco places that are better than our current location and Turncoat kept me entertained as we walked back toward our offices.
