This week's edition of Taco Tuesday North took place at Chico's. I've never been here, but DonHo said it was a go-to before La Unica settled in their new location.
The chips and salsa were pretty good. I couldn't help but notice not many pax partook; maybe because of the excellent conversation, or the fact there was only one salsa bowl. I know I didn't double dip… more than a few times. 😉
There were several options for street tacos. I think we tried a good many of them. I had the carnitas taco and it was great. The pescado (fish) taco was good, but I added the green chili salsa/sauce and made it even better. I only had two tacos, so I added some rice and beans to fill me up. Three was the right number, as DonHo and Nitestick tried to sampled a few of them. DonHo's carne asada taco looked the best to me though! Jersey Boy did some work to this his very large burrito. All seemed satisfied and I would put it very near a La Unica rating.
The best part was the high quality discussions that carried over well after lunch. We have some sports studs in the house, but I believe Nitestick's son BillyClub is going to be the best of us all!
