Vanquish your Hurricane Blues

Event Date

Sep 17, 2018

Seven of LKN's finest came out for a post hurrican party at the Vanquisher.  It was oddly dry out… not really.

Warm a Rama

Started out with a run around the parking lot with High Knees, Butt Kickers and Karaoke.  I believe we stepped in every puddle.

Circled up in the middle of the parking lot close to the bluetooth speaker and warmed up with 15x  SSHs, ISTs, Cotton Pickers, Toy Soldiers, Windmills, and Mountain Climbers.  Threw in a little downward dog calf stretches because BRR still hurts.

The Thang

This school has a lot of (concrete) balls, so we jumped over them and did a Merkin in between each.  Toxic caught on that it was actully a Burpee, though 1 Merkin sounds easier.

Now time for some corner work.  Running to each corner, the deal was 5x Merkins, 5x Squats, 5x LBCs, and 5 Jump Squats, going up 5 every lap for three laps so the last lap was 15x each.  Ultraman led the charge the whole way, even wanted to run another lap but YHC had to reel him in so we could go pick out some blocks.

Everybody grabbed a Cindy and carried her back to the parking lot (because Bluetooth Speaker) for 10x each of

Low Curl, Overhead press, High Curl, Skull Crusher, Block Merkin, Full Curl, Lawn Mower, Block Swings, and another round of Full Curls (for the girls).

Carried Cindy back and neatly stacked them for next time.

Mary

Mosied back over the parking lot for Mary.  Did 15x Low Flutters, Box Cutters, Pretzel Crunches, and 25x Suzanne Summers for each leg.  Finished up with an Airborn Mindbender while YHC grabbed his phone and killed the blaring classic rock music.

The Soggy Moleskin

Being a very wet a humid day did not stop these 7x hard chargers from coming out this morning.  Nice work by all and nice to see iron sharpening iron out there.  Solid work by Storm Chaser, only a week into F3 and has already posted every day.  Ultraman is so "back" that I'm not sure he ever left.  Looks like his "injury" only helped him to get stronger in every other area.  TClaps to Toxic and The Force for running to and back from the AO.  Got to look good when taking those family photos!  Strog work by Atlas and Amen all day, they never complained once and just got it done!

Thanks to Funky Town for allowing me to lead.  Nice way to shake of the weekend and get back at it.  Prayers went out to all those in need and those helping in Florence's aftermath.  Please keep them in your prayers.

Aye,

Top Gun
