DORA went exploring at Fission

15 PAX took a tour around JV Washam and out to the the nearest neighborhood hill during a cool but muggy September Thursday morning.  Prior to the workout, we held the weekly hoops standard, which began the morning with Titan, Omega, Knockout, and Mr Holland hitting the asphalt court.  Soon Alpo and YHC showed up, and our game was rounded out to 4 on 4 with the addition of Stapler and Commando.  Fun standard!  Good cardio and great to move the ball around, even if it's tough to see!  We wrapped up the game and added 7 to our crew, then got Fission underway.

Warm-up

SSH x 16

IST x 16

Cotton Picker x 16

Windmill x 12

The Thang:

We did a traveling, modified version of DORA.  We started at the playground and paired up.  Each pair had 80 pullups, but 10 at a time, alternating with step-ups on the picnic tables.

Mosey to back of school:  100 Mericans, alternating with partner run to school doors

Mosey to back of side parking lot:  150 Squats, alterning with partner run to first light pole

Mosey to neighborhood:  200 LBC, partner run up the hill to fire hydrant

Mosey to side pedestrian entrance to school: 100 alternating lunges, partner run to gate

Mosey to front entrance of school:  100 WWII sit-ups, partner run around island

Mosey back to cars:  30 second elbow plank

Recover, Recover

Moleskin:

– Hippie came ready to run!  He was probably a little disappointed, but we did get in just over 2 miles; he clearly wanted to run extra, taking off for the farthest light pole, instead of the first, during our squat set

– Beefcake took us out;  thank you for a good prayer

– Comments from Titan early on about counting to 16;  He asked "why?", and I asked "why not?

– Welcome back from vacation, Hat Trick;  I'm sure the Atlantic was much better, but at least we didn't do 1000 SSH, like before you left;  no wonder you needed a trip away!

– Good mix today;  Mr. Holland mentioned it was the first time he had been to Fission; maybe Knockout as well?;  Alpo and Tractor seem to be our newest regulars, and it's always great to see the rest of the guys.

– Announcements:  Hippie started up a group last week for PAX out of work or looking to potentially provide advice to those out of work;  they meet right after The General at Westmoreland Park, taking advantage of the free coffee!  Hippie is bringing a discussion topic tomorrow, and he will rotate the Q weekly

Hope you all enjoyed it.
