do sandbags get heavier in the rain?

We usually get about 20-30 PAX on a Thursday morning, what kept people away this AM?

Started with the obligatory SSH, then finished warmup with some prone lateral raises, lunges, prone shoulder taps straight into 'Mericans, squats, and runner's stretch.

Mosey'd over to DUMC to pick up some bricks and take cover from the rain.  Brick Side Lateral Raise x 25 (IC) + Brick Squat Thrusters X 10 + Run to top of steps (w/ Bricks) for 10 'Mericans (OYO).  3 Rounds.

We then replaced the bricks with sandbags.  I really wanted to do this next portion of the workout in the rain to see how much heavier the sandbags would get as we progressed through the workout.  We voted.  And then we took cover.

Sandbag Squat Clean Thruster x 12 / Sandbag Hop Burpees x 4.  Repeato for rounds of 8/8, 4/12, 8/8, and 12/4.

After a short recovery…

8-Count Sandbag Bear Complex x 2 / 4 'Mericans at the top of the steps.  Repeato for rounds of 4/8, 6/12, and 8/16.  We unfortunately ran out of time for more rounds.

Back to Green for some hip flexor and shoulder stretches.  Great work by all who posted in the rain!
