After a week of soliciting interest, in a Sunday afternoon football game, YHC and those included met on the practice field of ELHS to get their twisted ankles, pulled backs, and feelings hurt.
FNG-1 thru 3 were all walk-ons that appeared interested in what we were doing. Also, maybe the fact that P-funk called them out.
About 30 minutes of casual passing, punting, and kicking occured with friendly stabs at one-another, hot routes, audibles, slants, and lots of dropped balls. Then the cones came out. For the next hour, or so, we played one hand tag, tag anything with whatever you can, two hand tag, flags, okay no flags, then flags again. First play of the day left YHC on the ground, sobbing internally, while Hefty ran off after juking so bad it left me on the ground.
Probably not the best way to break in a new set of cleats, as blood blisters formed on the bottom of YHC toes and feet. Oh well.
Lots of EHing for the younger 3 FNGs', maybe we will see them again, for an actual post.
