The Hardest ‘Working’ Table in America

Event Date

Nov 06, 2018

The Standard:

  • YHC showed for a lonely lap of chips and Guac provided for the table.
  • I was joined for the last half mile by Mailman and Duvall

Warm O'Rama

  • The $1 Tacos won the early results with Mailman and Duvall going the Authenticos route

The Thang

  • YHC went back in line and got to work.  I went with less tacos but the cabbage and chorizo option on top. Sometimes you just need to spice up Taco Tuesday
  • Jersey boy went with rice and 'reportedly vegetables' and then audibled to Tofu Tacos
  • Hippie went with Authenticos in round 1 for 3 tacos and then followed with an audible to cabbage and chorizo option – strong work Hippie
  • Sweet C came in hot and awed the table with his majestic beard and went the Authenticos route
  • Mary was offended at Mailman leering at her for the first two deliveries so Mary sent over Manager Mike with the hat for all subsequent deliveries.

Nekked Man Moleskin

  • 1/2 the table is gainfully employed (Jersey Boy, Duvall and Mailman)
  • The other half is on sabbitcal, fresh from quitting and waiting on the 'you've got mail icon' to let him know he's laid off (Hippie, SweetC, YHC, respectively)
  • A sundry of lively topics dominated the conversation:
    • Mailman was dealing with some insanity at Mooresville due to a student having a feverish dream about a school shooting
    • We now know that Jersey Boy will eat meat at home but not in public but is still a vegeterian
    • Sweet C's beard dominated like a Young Tyson.  He even curb stomped my compliment in a stroke of pure manliness.
    • Hippie is looking to build a networked community inside of F3 to help those looking for jobs.   If you would like to support his efforts, please visit with him on Friday at the General and stay for coffee after
    • Duvall ate clean despite having a white shirt.  He did get some habanero sauce shrapnel on his sleeve due to inadequate sneeze gaurds at Sabor
    • YHC has outrun the honey do list and refuses to conquer the bathroom renovation after listening to the horror stories of Waffle House last year.

The Taco Review
?

  1. The Authenticos Tacos with Cilantro and Lime with your choice of protein is rock solid. The soft rice taco is as smooth as a stick of butter on a warm summer's day. Hippie even added in two veggie tacos and seemed to enjoy them.  8 out of 10 – as always
  2. The upgraded Locos Tacos are well worth the big layout of $3.75.   The cabbage, the chorizo and the added habanero sauce make a combination of taste sensations and fulfillment that can only compare to untouched waterfall in a virginal rain forest preserve. 9 our of 10 as always (I don't give 10s easily so please don't @me)
  3. The Habanero sauce was aces as always. It had significant heat and a depth in flavor that is unrivaled in the hot sauce business, in YHC's opinion.
