MOLESKIN:

  • Thank you Cajun Cowboy for coming out and helping YHC close the shop.  I appreciate the unwavering support throughout the past year.  Good luck running the Spartan Beast this weekend, and the HTL in March.  You’re gonna dominate.
  • I made the decision to step down from MQ about 2 months ago so that I could focus my energies on leading my family through changes at home, and on my growing responsibilities at work.  After working with potential MQs, reviewing the trends in attendance, and in keeping with the Starfish model, I concluded that it would be in the best interest of the Pax to shutter Thunderdome for awhile.  This has not been an easy decision, but I am confident that the right call has been made.  I’m grateful to all who gave me their support and advice while I worked through my succession plan.
  • Thunderdome was started back up at GCC to give the Pax an additional option specifically for Ruck training, to sharpen their minds and train their bodies for success.  Citing our 100% pass rate during the Black Mountain Heavy in May, Thunderdome achieved its mission, and exceeded expectations by continuing forward from there.  With this in mind, shutting down is not a failure, but a respectful close to a successful operation.  It will always be available for the next MQ to open back up when the Pax need it again.
  • Thank you Two Buck Chuck for giving me the opportunity to lead this AO through a great year, and for all the Pax who have come and made this a lot of fun.  See you all out there in the Gloom again soon, perhaps at MMM, Arnie’s, or Vanquisher.

Aye,

BB
