The 4th annual kick-off of the Black Friday Convergence was a frigid 34 degrees and breezy at start time. Thank you to the honorable Scrappydoodledandy for coming off the bench for his second CO-Q since it's inception. I pray for a speedy recovery for Moses.
Warm-Up:
- Run to soccor fields
The Thangs:
12 Pains of Christmas:
- Line-up at the start of the soccor field
- 12 excercises spread out ~12 feet apart spanning the soccor field
- 12 air spuats to start with 12 air squats everytime we return to the beginning
- Like the song, we go to the first exercise and back then to the next, do each exercise as we return to the start.
- burpee variations for the first 6 exercises and then various exercises thereafter.
- We got to 8 which made it more like the 8 pains of honnukah before YHC called an audible skipped to 12 and worked back to the beginning.
Hand-off to the honorable Scraptastic for a mosey to the ball field for a around the horn, circle of death WO.
- Various exercises call as we hit each corner of the field for two rounds. Exercises called by various PAX
- Scraptastic draws a circle in the sand for a sumo inspired death match.
- Several PAX took the challenge and fought to the death….or just pushed each other around (first sounded cooler)
- Some Mary to to end the WO
- Thankfully Callahan called for SSH to make sure the work-out was f3 approved.
2nd F:
- Great turn-out at Primal for great fellowship and early morning beer
Notables:
- After 4 years the YHC still has not perfected the 12 pains of Christmas even after modifying it. Many good suggestions to put the Burpees at the end. Maybe the YHC will get it right next year.
- YHC received kidney punches from Outlaw. I expected some type of retribution when I saw he came.
- Light turn out which was dissapointing
- YHC did not participate in the circle of death because last time ended in a calf pull
- It was great to have Bagboy there
- I am so happy everyone went to Primal. Thank you Hippie for supporting that in COT
