When it just SMELLS like fall in Race City, you need to play some football.  The best way to do this, per Jolly Roger, is simply play Ultimate Football.  There were numerous men rucking (Pyle, Hurdle, Pink Slip, Stroker Ace, Cupcake, Comet, Geronimo) and running (Cheezwiz, Strutter, Usain, Santiago, Frosty, Crack, Loveshack, Bombardier, and Contra) #thestandard.  As such, the rest of the pax needed a decent warm up, so…..here's how it all went down.

Warm-Ups: Pledge, mozy to lower middle parking lot, high knees, butt kickers, R/L karaoke. COP- (IC) SSH 20, MC's 15, CDD's 10, Heal Slappers 10, SDS 15, IST 10.  Lung walk to upper side of parking lot.   Dips 3 sets of 10 IC, broken up by 2 (two) AlGore's for about a 20 count.  Bear crawl up to upper middle parking lot, run to upper parking lot, divide into four teams, 10 Mericans IC, 20 calf raises R/L. Run up to football pitch.

The Thang: Ultimate Football.  Four teams of 7-8 men.  Instead of a frisbee, we used two NCAA approved pigskins, one for each field.  Half way through, the teams were switched.  Ideally, no tackling, no running, no 'fouls', but all of that occurred.  Ideally, one team would kick off, the other either catches it, or lets it hit the ground, then pick up the ball and begin play.  ALL PASSING (any way, lateral, back, fwd, side, overhand, underhand).  Once a pass is caught, stop and throw again to a teammate.  Once a 'touchdown' is scored, the losing team runs to the other endzone.  Any dropped ball, intercepted pass, OOB result meant the other team got the ball, so it's essentially a running workout, if done right.  Everyone has the right to 'try' for the ball, but no one has the right to 'foul' another either during a pass, catch attempt, or at any other time.  Play went to about 7:52.

Mary (IC): Low Flutter 30, Freddie Mercs 15, Planks, Mac Target's 10. LBC's 110 (Lear led).

Moleskine:

-FNG1 is Spencer, now known as Huck Fin, since he showed up at his first post without shoes.

-FNG2 is Jim Van Wormer, now known as Bombardier- with 5 kids and former military, it was an easy connection.  FNG3 is Aquanet, not yet registered on the  WS.  FNG4 is Strahan, Brushless' 2.0.

-Dolittle was seen using his rugby skills with a lateral pass, neat to see.  What was not neat, was some of the LAME attempts to (not really) throw the ball to a teammate, causing that man's entire team to switch to D (read LOTS of running)!  It's simple, value each pass and catch, no matter how small or big, so that your team keep possession as long as possible.

-Soul Glo ran the ball 2/3 of the field, then 'placed' it like a rugby 'try' for some reason…..and one of his teammates quipped, "he's been waiting to do that since high school, let him be."  So we did.

-Contra has a cannon for an arm, Deep End has sticky hands.  Santiago may be the most competitive 'Respect', and it shows!

-Spencer was solid in his D, breaking up many passes.  Many of the Pax were tackling their opponents (SMH).

-Lear cranked out 110 LBC's in cadence……what??!!

-Gents, LMK if you want the Glen keys anytime in December!
