I heard about this spot, Las Meras Tortas, that has really good Mexican food connected to Pitt Stop. Seating inside is pretty much nonexistent so we needed a nice day before we could go there. The other thing I was told is you had to arrive early as the place gets busy, not a problem for me as the earlier I eat lunch the hungrier I am for the Early Bird specials.
A previous Nantan asked me on Slack if Las Meras Tortas had free chips and salsa. I had no idea but told him if he showed I'd make sure he would get his fair share of chips and salsa. He responded saying he had a meeting…little did I realize he was in the process of usurping my TT plans or has he put it, incognating me.
I will chalk this up as a didactic moment which will help me get over my butthurtedness.
LMT is well worth a visit on a nice day like today. If you decide to go, be prepared to wait for your food as they move at their own pace. Also, makes plans to get there early and then join me around 4:30 for dinner…I know all the good Early Bird spots! And, one last thing, order the elote loco along with your tacos.
