9-7-6-4 Indian Run

Event Date

Feb 12, 2019

AO

9 men and Sophie the dog showed up to see what YHC planned for the days festivities. Several options were in consideration. In the end the Indian Run would be the selection today. We started as 9 and departed for Gilead and points beyond. At the traffic light The Force, Topgun, and Sophie turned back. Then there were 7. Heading to the greenway Toxic decided to turn back as het too has been battling injury. Heading up Bradford Hill, Ikea and The Count turned back as each had to get their workday started. And then there were 4. We ran through Cedarfield out to Mclwaine and back. The pace, which should have slowed as the runner came to the front never did over the next 3 miles. We had one close call where a lady in a Chevy Malibu (I think) was testing her turning radius by trying to run into us, or so it seemed. Undeterred, we ran on and back where we started. We pushed hard on the Wynfield Parkway Hill and then coasted back to the start.

The Force is running again even though the M shrunk his bucket hat.

Topgun is back out with Sophie and they are already in BRR form.

Toxic “I’m still not a runner” is getting up at 4:45 to run in the rain – no not a runner at alll.

8-Track had almost dried his shoes from the last wet run  we found plenty of puddles to keep them from drying for a while. And we chose to run in the rain which makes it OK.

Frogger was in his element today, hopping over puddles and holding far too quick a pace in the easy parts  all this after dry needling both calves yesterday (human pincushion).

Ikea too is getting back to BRR form and looking strong. He was blazing to the front of the line today with ease

Royale has become a Fartlek regular and pushes us each time. Today was no exception. I hope your brother continues to heal up so he can join us next time.

The Count is full on Marathon madman putting in big miles day over day. The only reason he turned back was to catch a flight. Not sure if he was running to the airport?

Praying for Schneider’s family and all other Pax who may need help. We are here for you so reach out.
