4 Years of this brothership

Event Date

Feb 21, 2019

Diehard and I opted to Co-Q my anniversary and his VQ anniversary and it was reminiscent of 4 years ago, though about 35 degrees warmer. Here’s what happened:

The Warmup:

Mosey to homecourt

SSH X 20

Windmill X 15

Cotton Picker X 15

Imperial Storm Troopers X 15

The Thang:

As I am sure you know, today is the 52nd day of the year, so naturally we did what we did 4 years ago when it was the 50th day of the year-

50 Merkins – Lunge walk to end of homecourt, sprint back

50 Squats – Lunge walk to end of homecourt, sprint back

50 Carolina Dry Docks – Lunge walk to end of homecourt, sprint back

50 LBCs – Lunge walk to end of homecourt, sprint back

Mosey to traffic circle for a burpee clock

We started at 2 o’clock – 2 burpees

Run around the clock to 4 o’clock – 4 burpees…. continue to 12 o’clock (even numbers only)

That left us 8 short of 50, therefore, a quick run to 8 o'clock was needed to true up The Count (no pun intended)

Mosey to rock pile (yeah, the one I ran right past)

Low Curl X 10

High Curl X 10

Full Curl X10

Press x 10

Skull Crushers x 10

Audible to add The 8 count Burner x 10

Mosey to Queens Corner for Audible 2 Freddie Mercury x 16

Mosey back to the circle

Mary:

WW2 Sit-ups x 20

J-Lo x 16

Moleskine

Amen is not a fan of the metric system but you had to show to know.

Diehard agreed to co-Q as this is also the anniversary of his VQ. Great work then and now.

Ikea was there 4 years ago and again today. He had almost forgotten the painful burpee clock. Now he has another 4 years to forget.

Tagless came out in the nasty weather with an injury to support me today. Heal up brother and thanks.

Topgun is writing his own BB so I have to race to finish this one. He also mentioned Storm Chasers baby being born, or so we thought. He was asking if the baby was born. We don’t know but wish him the best.

Toxic EH’ed me 4 years ago and was waiting at the end of my driveway to run before the workout today. Now that’s some service and accountability.

The Force was still celebrating the UNC victory dressed in his Carolina blue. That helped offset his sons game last night when one of the opposing players dropped 50 points.

We mostly stuck to the original workout with only a few revisions. Thanks for coming out and supporting me today and over the last 4 years.
