YHC just realized that no #bb had been posted to document this week's #TacoTuesday. One of the original tenets of #TacoTuesday, established by Grand Taco Master Ramrod, was that a #bb must be posted, or it didn't happen. And it definitely happened this week, so here we are.
This week's uptown #TacoTuesday took place at the Stonewall Whole Foods tacqueria. This was the second time the uptown pax have visited Whole Foods. Ramrod and Little Finger joined YHC this time. Smaller group today due to various pax meetings / conflicts.
8 bucks = 3 tacos (same protein) at Whole Foods, which are customizable via the tablet-based menu / ordering app around the corner from the coffee bar. Or you can order a la carte for $3 each and mix/match proteins. Most fillings are complimentary. YHC went with carne asada as protein and a variety of fillings.
MOLESKIN:
- Although I don't think any of us ordered pork as protein, that's what all of our receipts said. I believe we all ended up getting what we ordered, but who knows. Whatever we got was tasty.
- These tacos were stuffed. Generous amounts of protein. By the time Ramrod and YHC got to our third tacos, we were getting full, and went in with the fork for the last few bites. Only Little Finger was in the clean plate club.
- Whole Foods is packed during the lunch hour, and a table can be hard to secure. We thought we lucked out with a table away from the front door, and close to where we needed to pick up our taco orders. Unfortunately, as Little Finger discovered, the table closest to where the tacos come out is also the one that has the empty hot sauce bottle. He was so flustered that he fumbled the hot sauce cap about 3x and nearly spilled the few drops left in the bottle on himself.
- The pax agreed that we need to make a return trip to this spot. Tasty and good bang for the buck.
Aye!
