Return of The Jedi

15 powerhouses mosied into the LFC parking lot to have a little Monday Morning Fun at the Sword.  Several ran the Standard and had a fantastic time doing so judging by the lather they worked up visible upon my arrival 0525.

There was some general hemming and hawwing about gloves or no gloves.  YHC offered up gloves to those that feared the manicure demons, but I only had one taker.  Anchovy borrowed a pair and I'm sure his hands smell better as a result.

0530:  We began with a mosey the long way to the pull-up forest.  That is when this tale turns a little sour as a result of a visitor named Barbara.

THANG

Barbara's visit was announced and each man laughed and wondered for a nano-second and then realized that dreaded truth was upon them… any workout with a human name is going to be an SOB.

Barbara =

5 ROUNDS

  • 20 Pull-ups
  • 30 Muricans
  • 40 LBCs
  • 50 Squats
  • 1/4 mile lap

Each man worked until the end to overcome this beast and therefore, Barbara left no room for Mary.

It was a delight to be back Qing and especially at the Sword.  I recently celebrated my 4 Year Anniversary at Emmaus.  It was then that I thought of my second post and naming AO, The Sword.  I love this AO.  The fun, the jokes, the drive in each man's heart.  Pretty freakin' awesome!

Barbara is a benchmark workout to help show improvement month over month.  Hmmmm…. maybe I'll come back in a month and we can all do it again.  I'll be back… will you?

Prayer requests were lifted up for the O of Jimmy's momma bear and The Counts co-worker.  In addition, the men paused and remembered each other with a challenge from YHC.  "Go forth into the day and reach out to another brother and check-in."
