Mighty Monkey Humpers in the Jungle

Event Date

Jun 22, 2019

4 men not afraid of the muggy morning met at Mighty Jungle and here's what happened:

The clock rang and I gave the disclaimer (the mystery Q was revealed) and we Moseyed around the church the long way down to Copperhead hill. At the top of Copperhead hill we squared up for the warm-o-rama:

Warm-O-Rama

IST x 22 IC

Cotton Pickers x 22 IC

Cotton Pickers L-R x 11 IC; then R-L x 11 IC

Arm Circles Forward & Backward

Mountain Climbers x 22 IC

Peter Parker x 22 IC

Parker Peter x 22 IC

The Thang

Copperhead Ladder 1 w/ Pushups at the top & Monkey Humpers facing the road of course at the bottom – 1-10, 2-9, 3-8,…

First 3 laps we ran up the hill. Top Gun changed it up with a Quadraphelia, so we all did the same the rest of the ladder

Copperhead Ladder 2 w/ Squats at the top and V-ups at the bottom – 1-10, 2-9, 3-8,…

Karoke – L up the hill; Karoke R up the hill; & then the combo – forward run, Karoke R, Quadraphelia, Karoke L, Forward…

Done with Copperhead, and saw no Copperheads, so a successful venture

Mosey back to the retaining wall

Plank walks with hands on wall, the lower your position, the more difficult the excercise for 1/2 the wall

Cat walks on the 2nd 1/2 of the wall – due to the degree of difficulty and danger, gave the PAX the option to use the wall and the grass to help with balance. This was surprisingly difficult to do on the wall only

Lunge walk to school

Peoples Chair w/ Touch them heels, and Seal claps

Moving Curb Kickers from the school back to the top of the hill for Mary

Mary

Mobility Mary with Downward Dog, Calf Sretch L&R, Pigeon L&R, Spinal Twist L&R (also known as P*#@ stretches)

Hollow Hold – basically hold a V-up at the most resistant part of the excercise

Moleskine

Swim meets caused the regulary scheduled Q to have an oh S&^* moment when he realized he wouldn't be able to fulfill his obligation to Blackbeard. Luckily, my kids don't swim – odd qualifier I know. I showed up with some ideas in mind and was ready for the typical MJ crew.

We were a mighty and determined 4 today, and thoroughly got smoked

Uncle Rico has cat like reflexes as he balanced along the wall like a pro, and that is no BS – well done UR

Knock-out crushes it at every workout and has a good streak going – great work

Top-gun added the quadraphelia, and it was done so fluidly, we all followed. Nice leadership

Mumble Chatter was strong until the ladder, and then it all but ceased, sucking wind will do that

Thanks for the opportunity to lead today Blackbeard via Toxic.  I highly encourage anyone who hasn't signed up for a Q, get on the calandar and experience all 3 F's from the helm, and have fun with it…
