AO

As I mentioned in the pre-blast this will be my last Tuesday run for several weeks. I am about to go under the knife to repair an inguinal hernia I most likely suffered when my T-Rex arms attempted to lift something heavy. Likley at one of the few if ever bootcamps i attended. Disclaimers were properly provided so it was at my own risk.

As I arrived to Q my last Fartlek for several weeks, I was a little worried that I might be running it Han Solo. No one had yet to arrive. With about 2 minutes before go time the pax arrived and I was releived to not be running Solo.

Due to unknown weather condtions the route was going to be a go time decision. My initial thought was to run Fenway's around the Wynfield Clubhouse block for up to 6 miles if there was a chance of rain. Thankfully, the radar provided us with a window of opportunity to skip Fenway's and leave that for another day. Instead I lead my people on what can only be described as an Exodus run.

The route – approximately 6 miles  – Wynfield Creek Parkway -> Torrence Creek Greenway -> loop the Rosedale neighborhood -> and back the way we came.

So what is this Exodus I am referring to? It became rather clear and in focus when we hit the greenway on the way out and when we hit it on the way back. Frogs in varying sizes were all over the greenway. It was as if we went back intime and revisted the 2nd plague. Exaggeration but there were frogs a plenty this morning hopping around and making a ruckus. Luckily no one slipped on one and injured themselves as I failed to provide a disclaimer.

Bible Verse:

"This is what the great LORD says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me. If you refuse to let them go, I will plague your whole country with frogs. The Nile will teem with frogs. They will come up into your palace and your bedroom and onto your bed, into the houses of your officials and on your people, and into your ovens and kneading troughs. The frogs will go up on you and your people and all your officials."

— Exodus 8:1–4

Great run today and great time running with my Fartlek brothers. Hate to miss out over the next several weeks as I recover.

Always a pleasure to Q this AO and the pax that attend.

Please be sure help Die Hard out and sign up on the calendar to Q at this AO.

Until next time.
