Twitter activity was a fury yesterday, Jolly had the pax engaged and excited for a true beatdown. That way all great markers do he is going to make them wait and let the Excitement build a bit longer. Unfortunately Jolly’s M was actually not feeling well and he gave me a heads up the night before but yours truly was already in bed. I woke up to see the message and thought for a minute about how I could leave the packs through their disappointed that there would be no Jolly Q at TheMightyOak. Wisdom prevailed and I did not let the PACs know officially that I would be there Q until right at 5:30. We proceeded to mosey, do some high knees, but kickers and other fancy moves on our way to circling up for the warm-up. The warm up was quiet with the pax feeling abandoned but we got through it.
We moseyed and then a ladder with all kinds of fun exercises and then repeated it to be sure no one wanted to do it again. From there we did some lunch walks and grabbed our cinderblock friends and a bunch of girls and other stuff that everyone seemed to enjoy. Same thing, we repeated it to make sure that everyone had their fill. Lastly we spend a few times and some of us ended with 8 burpies, others less.
With the help of the balmy temperatures everyone did sweat and I believe had a good workout. We look forward to when we can return and have Jolly lead us through a classic beatdown! Good times gents, thanks for sticking with me!
