5th Annual Black Friday Convergence

With Primal being the Doorbuster special, 55 pax came to make it through an hour of pain to drink beer at 8am..

After a brief warm up in the back parking lot, the PAX split and went to their respective Q's AO.

12 Pains of Christmas (Firestone):

  • 12 exercises spread 10 yards apart
  • Like the song, you start at 1, go to the next exercise, and cycle through each exercise back to 1. Repeato 12 times.

Moleskin:

  • Someone actually finished this year which is the first time in 5 years. I finally learned to put the burpees at day 12 to speed up the process.
  • Poutine, Gigam, knock-out, (1 other i forget) finished for group 1. Outlaw finished for group 2 (even with burpees). Honorable mention to Tik Tok who was right there with group 1.
  • It was great to see my Meca brothers make the trip to join us!
  • Thank you to Moses for your help! Thank you turncoat for your leadership.
  • Great turn-out at Primal! Good time had by all. Breakfast was questionable for the price.

The Black Friday shopping…er, workout…on my side of the field included traveling around the store w/shopping cart and occasionally resulted in discounts…as follows. 

 

20 jump squats, 20 monkey humpers, wheelbarrow (shopping cart) your partner to the other side of field (circa 50 yards). Discount by 5 and repeato until we got to 5 jump squats and 5 monkey humpers. Flapjack for the wheelbarrow each time. 

 

Plank while receiving instructions

 

Partner Helping Hand, 10 with the right hand. Run 50 yards. Partner Helping Hand 10 with the left hand. Run 50 yards. Flapjack and repeato until each person has picked up his partner at total of 20 times.

Carolina dry docks 20. Backwards run 50 yards. Discount by 5 and continue down to 5 CDDs with backward run between each set.

20 jump lunges. Partner push 50 yards. Discount by 5 and flapjack the partner push until we got to 5 jump lunges.

 

Mary by committee followed by some good-for-you stretching.

  1. Tclaps to Turncoat, not only for stepping in on zero notice to Q the warmup, but also for his great service to F3LKN as 1st F Q. He’s been amazing with his dedication, ideas and energy. You’re truly impactful and have a blessing to the pax.
  2. THM has no imagination and denied the whole shopping cart idea, but didn’t deny the exercise. Good work! 
  3. Notice that discounts are not offered on all products in this shop. There are only a few door busters necessary to get the pax into the store and keep his attention. Anything else hurts profits unnecessarily…and why did you get up for a workout if not to get stronger!

  7. Tony Stark is making this F3 workout a regular thing. Pretty soon he’ll be carrying his old man around the field.
  8. Special Sauce was so brave today. His shoes were bound to get wet, as well as his hands, elbows, back… Yuck. I know it was awful for you, but we’re all very proud!
  9. Poutine and Canuck became acquainted today…Odd that i had to introduce them this far south.
  10. Glock and TickTock killed the exercises. See what I did there? I don’t think they know each other, but does anyone else think it appropriate that they finished the workouts side-by-side? What a team.
